Mike Tyson 'ready' for Jake Paul fight after his injury led to rescheduled date

Mike Tyson is "ready" to fight Jake Paul after his injury saw the bout rescheduled.

The heavyweight legend is returning to the ring for a controversial clash with the YouTuber on November 15 and insists that he is feeling "good" after an ulcer issue forced the cancellation of the original July 20 fight date.

Tyson told reporters: "Hey, listen, I'm just ready.

"I had a small adversity. I got sick, but I'm better. I feel good."

The fight has been met with disapproval from those inside boxing but Tyson says he still has the star appeal to generate headlines despite retiring back in 2005.

Asked why he decided to take on the social media star, Iron Mike said: "Because I can. Who else can do it but me? Who else is he going to fight to make this happen?

"We've just got to listen to the facts. We've got a YouTuber fighting the greatest fighter that ever lived."

Paul has been attempting to establish himself as a professional boxer and thinks that stepping into the ring with "one of the greatest to ever do it" will only aid his efforts.

The YouTuber said: "Big moments, big pressure, big stages, one of the greatest to ever do it, more experience than me, more fights than me.

"I'm going to learn a lot in this fight and through this training camp. So, this is helping me in my future fights and everything that I want to accomplish."
