‘Iron Mike’, 58, drew with ‘Captain Hook’, 55, in the pair’s 2020 exhibition match - which marked Tyson’s first professional fight in 15 years - but his trainer has now insisted the boxing legend is going to put on a better show in his upcoming bout with Jake Paul.
In the docuseries ‘MVP Uncut’, Cordeiro said: "Mike is much better than he was when he fought Roy.
"Four years later, at 58, he's better than he was at 54. He saw everything right and wrong that he did and fixed it. This is the beauty of the fight. His energy is good … We're in the perfect time and perfect place. Mike put everything together, mentally and physically. We're very excited."
The show featured footage from Tyson’s camp, where Cordeiro presented his hand mitts and pointed to how the leather had broken off due to the immense force of the boxer’s hits.
The coach insisted this was proof ‘Iron Mike’ would best ‘The Problem Child’ in their fight on 15 November.
Cordeiro said: "This is really good equipment, and it couldn't handle Mike's punches. Can you imagine Jake's face? Can you imagine that kid?Â
"He's raising his techniques in his training better and is better every single day. His defence, his power, his speed, his endurance, his conditioning – everything he needs to put on a great show. The only guarantee that we have is Mike will dare to kill or die.
"He's going to hunt this kid like crazy. He just needs one touch. If Mike touches him, it's over. And the proof is going to be on November 15."
Tyson is also confident he will beat the YouTuber, as he previously vowed to "slaughter" Paul in their bout.
He told talkSPORT: "Whoever is in that ring has a problem with me. If my mother stepped into the ring she has a problem with me. Don't go in that ring if you don’t want that problem.
"I see him running around and I have to try and catch him and slaughter him.
"He’s a good little fighter but he’s only had ten fights which is considered as an amateur in our field."
