The 28-year-old golfer won the Aramco Team Series event in Riyadh earlier this month and though it felt “really good” to claim victory, she admitted she didn’t take part in any wild celebrations.
She told Golf Monthly magazine: “It feels really good to win again, especially in Saudi Arabia as I’m sponsored by Golf Saudi.
“It’s just great to get that win.
“I felt really sharp, played really solid out there and celebrated with a hot chocolate. That’s about as exciting as it gets for me.”
Charley suggested she wasn’t too surprised by her win as she’s been close for some time.
She said: “I feel like my game as been pretty good this season and I’ve been knocking on the door for a couple of years.
“It all came together in Saudi and I feel good.
“I held my game together pretty well and 18-under for three days is a pretty good score.”
The golfer prepared for the final round with a gym session.
She admitted: “I was actually in the gym before the round and I didn’t start my warm-up until 45 minutes before because I needed to get a 5k run in.
“I felt really strong out there.”
