The 30-year-old forward is currently a free agent and the Hungarian striker would jump at the chance to move to Britain if an offer came in.

He told FourFourTwo magazine: “I’m well known in Hungary and the Far East, so I’ll probably get offers from there.

“I want to prove myself to everyone in 2025, but primarily to myself.

“I think English football would suit me – if an offer came in, I wouldn’t think twice. I’d go immediately.”

Martin’s imposing frame and bushy beard made him a cult hero at Euro 2024, and though he doesn’t like being “the centre of attention”, it didn’t faze him.

He said: “I don’t like to be the centre of attention but I seemed to become very popular – there was a tall guy with a big beard who many found out existed for the first time.

“You just have to know how to handle it – I’m a laidback guy so it wasn’t an issue.

“Some make fun of my appearance, but this is how I look.

“There are people who might have locked themselves in a dark room and felt sorry for themselves, but that’s not me.

“My wife loves me – that’s all I care about.”
