Ola Aina enjoys 'at least' three Christmas dinners

Ola Aina tucks into “at least” three plates of Christmas dinner.

The Nottingham Forest full-back can’t bear the idea of any food going to waste on 25 December so he’s more than happy to consume any leftovers.

Discussing his favourite Christmas traditions, he told Match magazine: “It would have to be around eating, at least three plates of Christmas dinner! Why? Because there’s always so much food, I can’t let any go to waste!”

The Nigerian international recently defended his decision to wear baggy shorts, explaining he deliberately opts for a larger size to avoid discomfort around his butt and thighs.

He told Football Fans Tribe: “Yeah, that’s, from young I’ve always been doing that. And it’s not for fashion or anything, there’s a reason towards that."

Pointing at his thighs, he said: “You see this man? The size? And the one behind, [my butt]. It’s too big, so the shorts, it always goes up, you know, and it’s too uncomfortable.

“So that’s why it’s always loose, so I take bigger shorts, you know, and this is why.

“Exactly, now you guys just leave me now."

Meanwhile, Ian Wright recently singled out Ola as his Vibes Player of the Year for 2024.

He said on the 'Wrighty’s House' podcast: “I’m going to go with Ola Aina at Forest. I remember watching him at the youth team at Chelsea, he was one of those great youth team players that they had with Chalobah and Dominic Solanke. He seems to still play with the same vibrance that he had then, he’s got great energy, lots of pace; he’s left foot, right foot, so I’m going to say him. I get good vibes off of him.”
