'Every Manchester United manager has had issues with Marcus Rashford'

'Every Manchester United manager has had issues with Marcus Rashford'

Marcus Rashford's Manchester United managers have all "had issues" with the attacker, according to a fanzine editor.

Andy Mitten - who is the editor of the respected United We Stand fanzine - has claimed that Rashford's current issues date back years, amid speculation that he will leave his boyhood club in January.

Mitten told talkSPORT: "Every previous manager has had issues with Marcus Rashford. I've spoken to them, I know them, they've told me in confidence going back years and years and years."

Rashford, 27, has been absent from the United matchday squad in recent weeks, and he's even admitted that he's open to a new "challenge" away from the Red Devils.

Mitten also observed that support for Rashford has waned among the fans in recent months.

He said: "Marcus confounds those opinions because he has a really good season and from his perspective - and he does have a perspective here - there's not a lot of support for him, I've got to say, among Manchester United fans."

Despite this, Mitten insisted that it still won't be easy for Rashford to find a suitor in January.

He noted: "I don't think he's had a disastrous start to the season, he was worse last season - but clearly he's nowhere near the levels that he would have hoped for.

"Now, if you've got Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain or Barcelona lining up going, 'We'd love to take him'... But the reality, the economics of it, they just do not add up.

"I don't know what the outcome is going to be, he signed a huge contract, and a lot of [the United players] have signed huge contracts, and this makes fans uncomfortable."
