The 34-year-old British and Commonwealth featherweight title-holder has learned the strengths and weaknesses of his character in the ring over the years and thinks he benefits from being adaptable.
He told Boxing News magazine: “My keenness to get into a fight is probably one of my worst attributes.
“But my best attribute is probably my ability to adapt.”
As well as boxing, Reece also keeps busy working as a lighting technician in the movie industry.
Asked if he’s ever been starstruck, he said: “No I haven’t. I’ve been lucky in my work life because I work around a lot of film people. I don’t really get starstruck.”
While Reece isn’t really a football fan, there are other athletes he admires.
He admitted: “I’m not overly keen on football. I follow teams, but football’s not my thing.”
Asked which other athlete he would like to be, he said: “I do like Mo Farah, because I like my running.”
Reece finds it hard to choose his best friend in boxing because he doesn’t want to upset anyone.
Asked his best pal in the sport, he said: “That’s a very tough question, because I know whatever I say, someone else will say, ‘What about me?’
“But I’d have to say [my trainer] Jim McDonnell.”
