Conor McGregor seemingly confirms Logan Paul fight for colossal payday

Conor McGregor has seemingly confirmed he will be fighting Logan Paul.

‘The Notorious’ McGregor, 36, was rumoured to be returning to fight the YouTuber and WWE star, 29, for an eye-watering $250 million - courtesy of India’s Ambani family - and the fighter has now added fuel to the fire over claims that he will be having an exhibition boxing match with Paul.

In response to Fight Book MMA’s report that claimed he would be fighting ‘The Maverick’, McGregor took to X (formally Twitter) to repost the story and added an Indian flag and heart emoji to the post.

Earlier this month, the mixed martial artist - who hasn’t competed in the UFC since July 2021 where he broke his leg during a bout with Dustin Poirier - first teased the fight with Paul, where he said he was in “preliminary agreements” with the Ambani family to battle the wrestler.

He wrote: “I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India.

“I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

McGregor was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June, though withdrew after injuring his foot.

Before that, the fighter was called out by Ilia Topuria after the 27-year-old UFC Featherweight Champion bested Alexander Volkanovski, 36, at UFC 298 in February, where he told McGregor he would be “waiting for [him] in Spain”.

However, McGregor shut down the fight, posting on X: “The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false”.
