Anthony Joshua eyeing Daniel Dubois rematch and Tyson Fury bout, promoter Eddie Hearn reveals

Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed the boxer is only interested in fighting Daniel Dubois and Tyson Fury in 2025.

The 35-year-old boxer suffered his fourth career defeat at the hands of ‘Dynamite’ Dubois, 27, in September, and Joshua’s promoter has now insisted the fighter is only looking to get back in the ring with his rival as well as do battle with ‘The Gypsy King’ next year.

Speaking to iFL TV, Hearn said: “For us, there’s only two fights we're interested in: Daniel Dubois rematch and Tyson Fury.

“He’d [Joshua] love another chance to become world heavyweight champion. So, now the Fury fight is there. It might not be as big as it could have been, but it’s still the biggest fight in boxing.

“Tell me a bigger fight in boxing. It doesn’t exist. AJ-Fury is the biggest fight in the sport of boxing.”

Hearn added that while he and Queensberry Promotions founder Frank Warren were looking to get Joshua in the ring with Fury, 36, the promoter conceded ‘The Gypsy King’ was likely still reeling from his second loss to Oleksandr Usyk earlier this month.

Hearn continued: “So, once the dust settles, I guess it’s up to me and Frank and the guys. Right now, I doubt that Fury is thinking about fighting again or fighting AJ.

“He’s still p***** off, and he’ll go away and spend time with his family. I mentioned two names for us [Joshua]. Tell me two names for Tyson Fury. There’s only one.”

Joshua was in negotiations for an immediate follow-up fight with Dubois, though talks collapsed in November.

As a result, Dubois is slated to face Joseph Parker, 32, in Feburary, while Joshua is expected to return to the ring in either late spring or summer next year.
