The 56-year-old former WBO World Featherweight Champion lost his title after being knocked out in the eighth round by his rival on 30 September 1995 and he’d relish the opportunity to mark the 30th anniversary of their bout by getting back in the ring.
He told Boxing News magazine: “I’m up for it. If he wants it, we can do it.
“I have heard rumours he has lost some weight and wants to make a comeback.
“I think he fancies having a one-off fight. Let’s see if he fancies a rematch.”
The Cinderella Man had successfully defended his title seven times before his fight with Nas, and he regrets accepting the meeting because of his circumstances at the time.
He admitted: “I wish I had never taken that fight.
“I had only just come back from honeymoon but I’m not the type of fighter who moans.
“He was unorthodox, I didn’t know where the punches were coming from. He was probably the best I boxed.
“[Marco Antonio] Barrera showed the way to beat him by moving to his left.
“But he was still one of the best British world champions – him and Joe Calzaghe. He was very hard to beat.”
