Harry Randall gains perspective from twin daughters

Harry Randall’s twin daughters have given him a new “perspective” on his career.

The England half-back and his fiancé Kelsey welcomed Noa and Lyla into the world last March and while he joked he’s had to give up his hobbies as a result, he has found fatherhood a “real joy”.

He told Rugby World magazine: “They’ve kept me very busy in my downtime. That’s what my life consists of – no more golf.

“I’m pretty hands on and have my hands full when I get home. It puts everything into perspective.

“You have your downs with rugby but if you’re feeling a bit sad after a big loss then you’ve got two little girls waiting to see you and they haven’t got a clue what’s going on.

“They bring you back to reality. It’s been a real joy.”

Though life has got easier since the twins started sleeping through the night, the 27-year-old sportsman quipped he’s enjoyed being in the England camp as it meant he could have a few lie-ins.

He said: “It’s an absolute game-changer [now they sleep through[ but it’s nice to come away to the England camp and not have to get up as early.

“There’s four or five of us who had babies at the same time; Elliot Daly, George Ford, Jamie George and Ollie Sleightholme.”
