UFC returning to London for 30th UK event

UFC is returning to London for its 30th event in the UK.

Some of the top British and Irish fighters will be competing at The O2 Arena on March 22 for an action-packed night in the Octagon.

The main event of the evening sees former welterweight champion Leon Edwards take on rising prospect Jack Della Maddalena.

In the co-main event, former champion Jan Blachowicz will face the top light heavyweight prospect Carlos Ulberg.

Other fighters in action include the undefeated heavyweight Mick Parkin, Liverpool's Molly McCann while there is also an exciting featherweight clash between London's Nathaniel Wood and France's Morgan Charriere.

The 30th UK UFC event will celebrate the rich history of mixed martial arts (MMA) in Britain. Previous events in the country have delivered memorable moments such as Tom Aspinall's first-round KO of Marcin Tybura and Michael Bisping's comeback against Anderson Silva.

It will be the first UFC event to be held in the UK since 2023 and the sport's president Dana White revealed last year that he was "excited" to stage another night of fights in the country.

He said at the time: "I have an English heavyweight champion and lots of other European stars.

"There are two champions now out of England, so we have these teams that build all their different pieces to the puzzle.

"Then we come together with me, and then I start trying to fit the pieces of the puzzle together.

"I have got great fights lined up for the UK fans, and I'm excited to get back there."

Tickets for the event will go on sale from 10am on Friday (24.01.25).
