The 23-year-old defender signed for Leicester City from Tottenham Hotspur last year and she’s happy to have made the move because she’s now closer to her parents and gets to make the most of home cooking as often as possible.
She told Match magazine: “I think Leicester are a really nice club, very family orientated and also it is local for me, because my parents live half an hour away.
“My mum’s cooking me so many meals.
“I’m Nepalese, so my mum makes Nepalese cuisine. All the different curries she makes are amazing.
“I want to get faster and be stronger and improve my game but, then again, I don’t know if it’s my mum’s cooking that has made me faster.”
While Asmita was a regular visitor to her parents’ home country when she was younger, she admitted her career makes it more difficult to find the time to make the trip now.
She said: “It’s been a while since I last went, probably when I was in school, but I literally used to go every year.
“It’s a long journey, and being a professional footballer it’s hard to find the time.
“I don’t know what it’s like now but from when I was younger, it’s really nice.
“I like the culture and the food, and the landscape is really nice.
“Obviously Mount Everest is there, so the mountains are really cool.”
