The 36-year-old golfer thinks the sport is in a “bit of a mess” and called for the differing tours to unite the game once again.
He wrote in his column for Today’s Golfer magazine: “I’ll be honest, I still don’t really know what LIV is for.
“I don’t know if it was created out of spite or just to take players from the PGA Tour.
“And if I’m being completely straight with you, I don’t really know what TGL is for either.
"But what I do know is this, golf needs to come back together…
“Right now, we’ve got the PGA Tour doing its thing over here, LIV doing its thing over there, and the DP World Tour somewhere in between and it’s all a bit of a mess.”
Beef believes there’s element from each tour that can come together to make the game better.
He added: “What we need is a system where all the best players are competing in the same events again, while also keeping some of the fun stuff that LIV has brought in and even introducing some of the elements from TGL (shot clock!)
“I think there’s a way to do it where everyone wins – players, fans, even the tours themselves.
“Here’s what I’d do. I’d let the PGA Tour run from January to August, as it always has. That’s where we keep the big individual tournaments – the Majors, the Players, the FedEx Cup playoffs…
“Then, when the season wraps up, LIV comes in with a pure team format… Make it a proper team competition like football or rugby, with a draft at the start and home and away matches.”
