The company started experimented with the folding form factor in 2019 with the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, and now the business’ executive Chung Yi has revealed the corporation is developing a “double-foldable” and a device with a rollable screen.
Speaking to Phone Arena, he said: “We are developing various form factor products, such as double-folding multi-foldables and rollables.”
This comes after it was reported the company was working on a Z Fold 6 “Slim”, with a release date set for October.
According to industry insider Ice Universe, the supposed device will feature a 19.5:9 aspect ratio cover display - the same one found on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra - as well as a bigger eight-inch internal screen that would be achieved by removing the S Pen Digitiser.
Last month, the business introduced the latest iteration of its foldable phone with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The device - which starts at $1,900 - boasts an external 6.3-inch display and a Foldable Dynamic 7.6-inch display, both of which use 120Hz LTPO AMOLED technology.
As well as the two screens, the Z Fold 6 is one of the thinnest and lightest devices in Samsung’s folding line - coming in at 12.1mm thick and 239 grams.
The device is also powered by Snapdragon’s flagship chip the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and comes with 12GB of RAM, making the Z Fold 6 one of the fastest phones on the market currently.
