Microsoft vows to 'listen' to users as they roll out new AI feature

Microsoft has vowed to "listen to user experiences" as they launch their new AI feature.

The tech giant admitted that while artificial intelligence is a technology "still a technology very much in development", their Copilot Labs innovation is all part of learning just how "transformative" it can be for its users around the world.

In a blog post, Microsoft said: "The more we listen to people who use our experiences, the more we know how transformative this revolution is, but we also understand that it requires careful and deliberate steps forward. We want to harness the full capabilities of AI Copilots to provide the most useful and rich experiences for users but do so in the safest ways we can. We want to balance both pioneering features and a deep sense of responsibility."

Copilot's latest feature Think Deeper can deliver detailed, step-by-step answers to challenging questions and has started to roll out in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The post added: "The first feature available in Copilot Labs is Think Deeper which gives Copilot the ability to reason through more complex problems. Using the very latest reasoning models, it can help with anything from solving tough math problems to weighing up the costs of managing home projects."
