The Meta-owned messaging platform is creating a Chat With Us option to allow for users to contact the support team if they have any issues in a much faster and more efficient manner.
It is being tested and has been spotted as being an option in latest beta of WhatsApp Web.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature has been added to the Help section of the app.
After interacting with the option, people will get a notification saying they will "receive a communication from the support team in a WhatsApp chat".
It comes as people currently have to get over a range of hurdles – such as the frequently asked questions section – in order to get chat assistance.
Last year, WhatsApp released an AI-powered chat support system, which was rolled out to all users.
The publication warns that the response "could still be AI-generated or an automated message. However, if users require a response from a human representative, they can simply request it in the chat".
A human chat support option will become available in a future update of the web client.
