The new software version - which brings several meaningful additions to the Samsung Galaxy experience, including artificial intelligence upgrades through Galaxy AI - has been available on the company’s newest flagship S25 range since the line-up released earlier this month, though owners of previous Galaxy devices such as the S24 have been left in the dark as to when they can expect the update to be launched for their phones.
Now, leaker Tarun Vats has claimed Samsung is planning to release a whopping six betas for One UI 7 on older devices before the full software version releases at some point after April 2025.
On X, (formally Twitter), the leaker wrote: “Samsung is expected to roll out SIX One UI 7 beta updates for the Galaxy S24.
“Beta 4: Drops in February. Beta 5: Lands in March. Beta 6: Arrives in April, paving the way for the feature-packed stable release.
“The wait will be worth it (sic).”
Reputable Samsung analyst Ice Universe corroborated this claim, writing: “I confirm, it’s true (sic).”
If this turns out to be accurate, owners of older Galaxy devices may not get the full version of One UI 7 until May 2025.
