The brand new phone has been announced by the tech giant however it won't shipped until some time in April and isn't available yet for preorder due to a "component quality issue".
Google told The Verge: “We’re checking on a component quality issue that’s affecting a small number of Pixel 9a devices.”
It is not known which component of the phone has the issue.
Units of the new phone have also not yet been distributed to media for reviewing, which is another indication that Google discovered something worth investigating at the last minute before being put up for ordering and shipping.
The price has been confirmed as £499 in the UK and $499 in the US and while the phone can be seen on the Google online store, it is not available to buy.
